Professional Women in Construction – Philadelphia Chapter, recognizes that our strength as an organization—and as an industry—depends on our commitment to building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community that actively empowers all its members.
With the launch of our Empowering Committee, we affirm our shared responsibility to create a culture where individuals are not only included, but equipped, supported, and inspired to lead and succeed—regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, ability, religion, socioeconomic status, or background.
The Empowering committee will:
- Champion Diversity: We will actively seek and uplift representation across all identities, roles, and experiences in our membership, leadership, and programming.
- Advance Equity: We will confront and remove structural and cultural barriers that limit access and opportunity, protecting fairness in every aspect of our work.
- Foster Inclusion: We will cultivate spaces where all voices are welcomed, heard, and elevated, with a focus on those who have been historically excluded.
- Empower Our Community: We will lead with empathy, collaboration, and purpose to so that members have the tools, confidence, and opportunities to thrive professionally and personally within our organization and industry.
- Maintain Accountability: We will remain open to learning, growing, and evaluating our impact. We will hold ourselves responsible for meaningful and ongoing progress.
The formation of the Empowering Committee is an evolution of our values into action. This is our commitment to cultivating lasting change, together.
